Wattle Bloom Walks in Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
‘Each walk will include a talk about wattle varieties, the history of the wattle in Australia and Queensland, the importance of wattle as an Australian symbol plus some unusual facts and common myths.”
Walkers, please meet at the entry to the Visitor Information Centre at 9:45am for a 10am start. Walks will take approximately 1.5 hours. Location: 152 Mt Coot-tha Road, Mt Coot-tha.
Requirements: The walk is relatively short and is mostly on formed surfaces, with some gentle slopes, stairs or walking on some uneven surfaces. Some standing periods for explanations and limited sitting. Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
